What Year and City did you get your start in Radio? I started my love for small market radio in Gunnison, Colorado in 1989. I was a very cold freshman in college without a clue. I LOVED music (think: Pink Floyd, Moody Blues, classic rock). Once I found 91.1FM KWSB The Penguin, I knew I had found my home.
What are three hobbies you have? I love sitting by the pool, in my recliner, reading my smutty, rom-com books. I love hot power yoga. I love my cat.
Where is your hometown? My hometown is Dallas, Texas. I grew up near SMU, but I don’t think I felt like I was “home” until I moved to Colorado for college.
How would your family and friends describe your personality? My daughter says I’m “loving, caring and ummm . . . fun to drink with.” My mom says I’m “the heart of the family.” I think my friends would say I’m loyal, social and a great wing-woman. Bottom line, I love my friends and family because they are the glue to keeping me sane. I have friends from every decade of my life that I stay in touch with through social media, which is awesome since I went to three high schools, two colleges and through many jobs. Everyone comes into my life for a reason and I cherish them all.
Who is your favorite superhero? I’m not a huge Superhero gal, but I would choose Captain Marvel. She’s a pilot and a badass.
One more thing about me? One More Thing About You? One last question for you, the listener: which one album would you want with you if you were on a deserted island? My answer hasn’t changed for 30+ years, Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here. Music is the pulse of my life. I may not know all the words, but it’s the beat that keeps my mind and body moving.
